Great Movie Style: The Devil Wears Prada

Along with Clueless and Sex and the City, The Devil Wears Prada was one of the first movies to teach me about great style. I have to give Patricia Field (who also styled Sex and the City) huge credit for turning Anne Hathaway's character, Andy Sachs, from a clueless bookworm to a complete fashionista. After Nigel and his team give Andy a make-over, her look is sophisticated, sexy and utterly chic. I would shop her closet any day!

Dripping in Chanel pearls and
a matching newsboy cap

Those black knee-high boots are
perfection! Paired with sheer black
tights, a mini dress and longer sweater,
the look is sexy but very classy.
My favourite outfit.

I love the chic newsboys hat,
feminine gloves and elegant coat.
Very chic...

I love the combination of colours in this outfit.
The look is bohemian, yet still so polished and glamorous.

Very 1960s Jackie O

Beautiful sophistication.
From her poppy red lips to her egdy,
yet elegant, leather gloves.

I can't talk about The Devil Wears Prada without mentioning Andy's hair. I've wanted to try this gorgeous bohemian style since I was 16. Having a face shape that doesn't suit blunt bangs, I haven't taken the plunge. Instead, I'll admire this...

Nicole, your blog is delightful! This post is amazing, I've seen the movie 1000 times and I'm still amazed by the looks each time...
